Abstract

We are nowadays observing significant changes in communication networks. Widely understood network virtualization (for both wired and wireless technologies) has a great impact on the shape of this part of the market and economy. Traditional legal and economic solutions are often no longer applicable, and new approaches are necessary. Moreover, changes in the overall communications ecosystem open new areas for companies to come and offer new services. Such a situation is indirectly supported by ongoing standardization activities in the domain of 5G networks, which are entering their final phase. New verticals are identified by mobile network operators who try to deliver new services to new market domains, competing with newly established SMEs. (...)
